Fall 2025 Writing Institute

Have you been doing any writing this semester? The Live Ideas Fall Institute is the perfect time to showcase and workshop it! The institute will be held November 5-6 and 10-11 from 6:00-7:30 pm via Zoom. All written pieces are welcome- fiction, nonfiction, poems, essays, etc. The purpose of these institutes is to help undergraduate students perfect their pieces alongside their scholarly and artistic peers. A $250 scholarship will be awarded to those who attend all sessions of the institute. The institute will begin on Wednesday, November 5th, and continue onto Thursday, November 6th. From there, we will break for the weekend to give students ample time to work on revising their pieces. We will meet back on Monday, November 10th, and conclude the institute on Tuesday, November 11th. The deadline to apply for the institute is Friday, October 31st. Spring 2025 Writing Institute

This Spring the Live Ideas Journal will be holding a Writing Institute for Non-Fiction pieces exclusively. The dates for the institute are the 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 8th of April. 2024 Fall Institute

All pieces are welcome- fiction, nonfiction, poems, essays, etc. The purpose of these institutes is to help undergraduate students perfect their pieces alongside their scholarly and artistic peers. A $250 scholarship will be awarded for those who attend all sessions of the institute. The institute will begin on Thursday, November 14th, and continue onto Friday, the 15th. From there, we will break for the weekend to give students ample time to work on revising their pieces. We will then meet back up on Monday, November 18th, and conclude the institute on Tuesday, the 19th. The institute will be held in person, on campus. If your application is accepted you will receive a confirmation email with additional details.
