Coming September 12, 2022

Our first lecturer of the year is Vanya Eftimova Bellinger who will be speaking on Marie von Clausewitz’s impact on the classic military treatise On War.

Bellinger, an expert on military history and politics, was the first scholar to study the newly acquired Clausewitz and Scharnhorst correspondence in the Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Privy State Archives). Her extensive research reveals Marie von Clausewitz as a remarkable woman who substantially influenced one of the greatest works on military strategy every written – Carl von Clausewitz’ On War. Bellinger’s book, Marie von Clausewitz: The Woman Behind the Making of On War, is available through libraries and retailers now.

Bellinger will be speaking at 3 pm at Regnier Hall Auditorium.
