Fall 2022 Institute

Have you been doing any writing over the semester? The Live Ideas Fall Institute will be held this semester from November 9th- November 15 from 7-8:30 pm. This institute is focused on workshopping fiction pieces- poems, short stories, narratives, etc; however, all pieces are welcomed! Submissions can be fiction or nonfiction, essays or poems, short stories, and artwork! The purpose of these institutes is to help students perfect their pieces alongside their scholarly and artistic peers. There is also a $250 scholarship for those who attend all sessions of the institute. The institute will begin on Wednesday, November 9th, and continue onto Thursday, November 10th. From there, we will break for Friday and the weekend to give students ample time to revise their pieces. We will then meet back up on Monday, November 14th, and conclude the institute on Tuesday, November 15th. We are hoping to be able to hold this event in person, but more information will be sent out closer to the beginning of the institute.

We are limiting the institute to eight participants, so make sure to submit your piece early! The deadline to apply is November 2nd.
